Fishing Tournament

                 Do you know fishing?? I think almost all of the people know about this hobby. Don’t care in town, village, or forest we will find some fishing clubs in there. In fact fishing is interesting hobby, especially for men. Notably in Java and Sulawesi, there are 230 fishing clubs which every year hold the fishing tournament. In a tournament, usually they give five billions rupiah for 1^st prize. And many people were interested to join it.

                        Variably in villages, the fishing club just gives a little price because the participants are not many than in the city. And the village fishing club just gives a little price for the winner, just five hundred thousand rupiahs for 1^st winner. In a tournament, there are some big fond to fight, to fight I mean an activity which the fishermen snatching to get many fishes.

                        And now, fishing mania can join at Mancing Mania program in a private TV station. Fishing mania must register itself first to join that program. And the team of Mancing Mania will selects some fishing manias, usually 5 fishermen in an episode. Then, Mancing Mania team invites them to the sea with a yacht and they can fish in there. Who will get many fishes than the others, he will get some prizes from the program.

There is only one more week to Easter. I have already started my holiday. The idea of visiting my uncle during this Easter is wonderful. His farm is in this village down in Cornwall. This village is very peaceful and beautiful. I have asked my aunt if I can bring Sam, my dog, with me. I promise her I will keep him under control. He attacked and he ate some animals from her farm in October. But he is part of the family and I cannot leave him behind.

 In my uncle's village, there is a shop which sells a lot of things. The owner of the shop has known my uncle since school. They were old friends. This shop sells kites among other things. I had been given one by my Dad. I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened it up. It was just an amazing thing. He had also taught me how to fly it. I enjoy it and it is fun. It brings me out to the open space more often. I am also seeing my Dad more often. He stays away from his office at weekends. That is good. There are all sorts of kites. I am actually getting myself some more during this visit.

            During this visit, I'm going to ride a horse. I wasn't allowed to do that because I wasn't old enough. But I am older now. My aunt is very good at riding and she will teach me. I am asking to be allowed to stay with my aunt for the summer. I am excited by the idea. Besides riding, I can make some pocket money by helping out in the farm. They have got some cows and sheep, as well as pigs and some chickens. But I don't want to work with pigs.

            They are about eight miles from the sea. My uncle can take me out on his new boat. He has spent his spare time building this boat. I am always being amazed by what he can do. He was an airman and his life is an interesting story on its own and he is full of surprises. In April, he is constructing a tree-house for Amy, my older cousin. Over Easter, it will be her eleventh birthday. If Mum lets me, I will buy her some chocolates. But Amy will be disappointed if I can't get her any. But I think she will understand. She has got no idea that I'm arranging a surprise party for her.

SEJARAH KERETA API DI INDONESIA

Kereta Api…. Siapa yang tidak kenal salah satu moda transportasi di Negara kita tercinta ini. Apalagi bagi kita yang berdomisili di Pulau Jawa dan di Sumatra bagian selatan. Ya..inilah transportasi kebanggan masyarakat Jawa dan sebagian Sumatra. Asal anda tahu, ternyata kereta api di Indonesia sudah lebih dari 100 tahun popular di Indonesia. Tapi ya berawal dari masa-masa sulit kita dulu sewaktu dijajah oleh Kolonial Belanda. Tapi tak dipungkiri juga bahwa Kolonial Belanda mempunyai andil yang sangat besar bagi keberadaan kereta api di Indonesia. Nah loe…,ternyata gak Cuma nyiksa, tapi ada hikmah di balik siksaan.. J  Okelah, tanpa basa-basi, yuk kita mulai pembahasan yang paling pertama dan dasar tentang histori ini.

·       Periode Kolonial Belanda

Nah,,,masa-masa ini terjadi kira-kira di tahun 1878, pada masa itu pemerintah colonial Belanda mulai membangun sebuah jalur rel panjang yang menghubungkan 3 kota besar di pulau Jawa pada saat itu. 3 kota yang dianngap besar dan penting pada waktu tersebut adalah Solo, Semarang dan Jogjakarta. Mengapa colonial Belanda memilih hanya 3 kota tersebut dan memilih pulau Jawa sebagai basis pembangunan jalur kereta api? Saya pikir, karena di pulau jawa pada saat itu terkenal dengan hasil alam yang melimpah dan tanah-tanahnya yang subur karena terdapat banyak gunung api yang aktif. Dan juga menjadi tempat perdagangan yang strategis, serta di situlah terdapat kantor pusat colonial, yaitu di Jogjakarta. Nah, pembangunan itu dikerjakan oleh suatu perusahaan spesialis kereta api yang diberi mandate oleh gubernur jenderal Belanda saat itu, dan perusahaan itu biasa dikenal dengan NIS (Nedherlands-Easter Indishcee Spoorweeg Maascaphic) dan orang pribumi lebih mengenal dengan Maskapai Sepur Belanda. Kata “Spoor” sendiri lah yang sampai sekarang sangat popular untuk menyebut kata kereta api sampai sekarang, khususnya orang Jawa Timur dan Tengah. Dan saat itu pula hanya dibangun 10 stasiun perdana untuk penghentian kereta api, salah satu yang paling terkenal adalah Stasiun Solo Balapan. Saat itu, NIS mengoperasikan loko uap seri C500. Loko ini bertenaga 750 tenaga kuda yang mampu menarik 3 gerbong. Tetapi saat itu kereta api hanya diperuntukkan untuk mengangkut senjata dan amunisi militer pemerintah colonial dan belum dijadikan transportasi komersil. Sampai pada awal 1885, secara bertahap NIS dan beberapa partner usahanya atas ijin pemerintah colonial melakukan pembangunan rel untuk memperpanjang rute perjalanan kereta api, dibangunlah ke arah timur melewati madiun dan hanya sampai di kertosono. Karena dahulu Kertosono dijadikan stasiun akhir maka Stasiun Kertosono pun dibuat menjadi stasiun terbesar di Jatim saat itu. Dan lokomotif baru pun juga didatangkan dari German dan Perancis untuk mengisi kesibukan di jalur baru tersebut. Dan di jalur tersebut lah dibuka jalur komersil untuk mengangkut hasil bumi dan barang dagang lainnya secara umum. Karena beberapa tahun yang cukup pesat perkembangannya, pada awal 1890 NIS pun menggebrak lagi dengan menambah jalur Kertosono s/d Surabaya, Semarang s/d Bandung dan terakhir sampai di Batavia, dan akhirya pula seluruh pulau jawa dijamah dengan rute rel kereta api milik NIS, saat itu pula pemerintah colonial membuka perjalanan komersil untuk penumpang. Dan para konglomerat pun cukup antusias mengenai perkembangan ini. Oleh karenanya, NIS mulai merekrut pegawai dari orang-orang pribumi yang potensial untuk ikut andil dalam penyelenggaraan kereta api di Jawa.  

TAMU MERAH BIRU PERKASA PUN DATANG

Hello Railfans, gimana ih kabarnya.. Udah lama aku ga ngepost.. Ya maklum lah lagi sibuk ama kuliah, hehehe..

Oiya, uda ada yang tau tentang kedatangan tamu sekaligus teman kita yang baru?? Yap, CC205 telah menginjakkan rodanya di rel Indonesia. CC205 merupakan lokomotif generasi baru milik PT. KAI, Loko ini dipesan dari General Electric Motors di Canada, loko yang mempunyai berat 108 ton ini di datangkan langsung ke Indonesia melalui jalur laut, yakni dari Kanada langsung menuju Pelabuhan Panjang, Sumatra. Selanjutnya loko ini diangkut menuju Stasiun Pidada dan digandeng CC201 menuju dipo Tanjung Karang.
Lokomotif ini dibeli untuk menggantikan beberapa tugas lokomotif CC 202 yang sudah berumur. Dalam hal ini 4 lokomotif CC 202 bisa diganti dengan 2 lokomotif CC 205 Lokomotif ini tiba di Indonesia tepatnya di Provinsi Lampung tanggal 26 September 2011, karena lokomotif ini hanya di khususkan untuk menarik rangkaian kereta pengangkut batubara (Babaranjang) di Divre III Sumatera Selatan.Lokomotif CC205 saat ini menjadi lokomotif berteknologi paling modern di Indonesia.
Lokomotif ini memiliki nomor seri EMD GT38ACe. Artinya adalah: EMD GT38ACe : - G : General Purpose (Untuk segala keperluan) - T : Turbocharger (Dengan turbocharger) - 38 : mesin EMD 710 - 8 silinder (dengan tenaga bisa sampai 3000 HP) - AC : Motor traksi sistem AC-AC

Dengan menggunakan mesin diesel bertipe 8-710G3A , dengan jenis mesin 2 langkah (2 tak)dengan 8 silinder yang sudah dimodifikasi , sehingga tingkat emisi gas buang lebih rendah. Menggunakan sistem rem 26L air brake system.
Mesin yang digunakan CC205 adalah tipe mesin terbaru dan terbaik buatan EMD Canada . Mesin ini adalah jenis mesin yang sama digunakan di lokomotif jenis SD60 series, SD70 series, SD80 series, dan SD9043MAC. Mesin ini berbeda dari mesin EMD 567C, EMD 645E, dan juga GE 7FDL-8 karena mesin ini menggunakan teknologi terbaru sehingga membuat mesinnya rendah polusi dan kebisingan.
